Since 1976, Normanton Rodeo has been hosting an event on the Queen's Birthday Weekend in June. The event continues to grow each year, and celebrates its 48th Annual event in 2024. From humble beginnings, Normanton Rodeo now boasts 4 action packed days including Rodeo, Campdrafting, Gymkhana, Sprint Racing, Street Parade, QCWA Show and Live Entertainment each night.

In 2017, following years of collaboration, Normanton Rodeo Association also took over the Normanton Sprint Races Event, held in Late August/September each year. This event is now the premier Sprint Racing Event in Australia, and is definitely one for the bucket list!
